Supplier Quality Engineer - Outsourced

Your Role:

Fab Outsource (Main)

• To set up and enforce implementation of quality Management System in accordance to the IATF16949 requirements and core tools approach
• To set up and oversee the performance monitoring for Supplier through weekly conference call to review yield trend, OQA defects, Cpk performance, in-line GOI and routine reliability with relevant system owner in X-FAB.
•  A liaison between customer and outsourced fab on the handling of QMS (including but not limited to Non conforming material, change management, complaint management, etc.)
• To  oversee & co-ordinate with system owner on daily production supplier-quality system matter (Waiver, Maverick, in-line scrap alert, PCN) to ensure smooth delivery of production to customer.
• Cultivate awareness and training in relates to the automotive mindset and requirements
• Manage actions of supplier development (action plans as result of annual supplier assessment or audits or relating to X-FAB requirements).
• Conduct audits at supplier, participating at meetings with suppliers on a regular basis.
• Negotiate and advance of Quality agreements between X-FAB and supplier.
• Support onsite during customer audit
• To resident at supplier and a liaison with the fab
• To contribute towards the achievement of quality objectives by complying to the quality operating system and participating in continuous improvement activities (defect prevention, reduction of variation or prevention of waste).
• To contribute towards the achievement of the EHS objectives by complying to the EHS policy and participating in the implementation of EHS management system.
• Any other assignment deems fit that shall be given to you from time to time.

Your Profile:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electronics/semiconductor) or equivalent.
•  Experience: Min. 5 - 8 years in electronics/semiconductor environment, with exposure to supplier and purchasing process.
• Skills/competencies: Literate in Japanese is an added advantage.
• Behavioral Competencies

a)    Interpersonal skills dealing with suppliers and internal customers.
b)    Ability to work independently with suppliers and internal customers at all levels and various cultural backgrounds.
c)    Ability to lead problem solving teams and solve conflicts.
d)    Ability and willingness to resident at supplier location

• Technical/ Functional Competencies

a)    Knowledge in Quality Management (preferred IATF16949) and statistical methods.
b)    Auditor qualification preferred IATF16949 and VDA6.3.
c)    Knowledge of automotive core tools (AIAG): APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
d)    Continuative experience and knowledge of software tools (Space, Minitab, Klarity, ERP, etc.)
e)    Knowledge of process/equipment/process integration in electronics/semiconductor/foundry environment is preferred.
f)    Internal cross-department function and close cooperation with global/other X-FAB sites/customer/supplier
