Job description
Functions / Duties:
The Machinist will be responsible for fabricating aluminum, stainless, and plastic parts. The Machinist will also develop new or edit existing programs to be used by CNC machines and other related equipment.
Current Skills / Competencies:
- Ability to read, understand and program HURCO CNC machines. This includes, but is not limited to: zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches
- Calculate requirements using basic math, geometry and trigonometry
- Experience working on vertical multi-axis milling and multi-axis turning centers with HURCO controls
- Thorough knowledge of tooling and fixturing, and the designing and building of initial job set-ups
- Ability to program and set up own job
- Experience working on complex metal parts with tolerances up to +/- .001 on larger parts, and +/- .0005 on smaller parts
- Working knowledge of HURCO control platforms and speed and feed rates
- Must read and understand blueprints and be able to create blueprints using AUTOCAD

Job requirements
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
