Implant Parts Repair Technician

Job Description
Functions / Duties:
Electronic and electro-mechanical maintenance, and repair of equipment in Implant with the main emphasis of rebuilding parts pulled during scheduled monthly preventive maintenance. Interface with Production and Engineering personnel on equipment and production problems and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and rebuild equipment parts from Ion Implanters
- Interface and work with Production & Engineering staff on process & production problems related to equipment part repairs / failures.
- Identify root cause of part failures and maintain proper stock levels.
- Learn area critical maintenance requirements
- Assist Equipment Engineering as needed
- Report to Equipment Engineering Maintenance Foreman
Current Skills / Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Ion Implant equipment for Varian E500, Axcelis GSD-200EE / VHE and Purion M /H Implanters.
- Knowledge of Hi-Voltage / Vacuum systems & troubleshooting
- Training on safe handling of process gases and chemicals
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a proven team player and self-starter
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong Microsoft computer skills
- Some heavy lifting required
- Knowledge of electronic circuits plus mechanical aptitude
Job Requirements
Minimum Educational Requirements:
A.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technologies or 2 years of Ion Implant experience directly related to repairing equipment parts for Varian E500, Axcelis GSD-200EE / VHE and Purion M /H Ion Implanters
