Defect Engineer (f/m/x)

X-FAB France is recruiting a Defectivity Methods Engineer (M/F), permanent contract, based in Corbeil-Essonnes (IDF) within the PLY (Process Limited Yield) sector. This position requires speed, rigor and creativity, as well as long-term analysis. Your environment is evolving with new IT tools (R/Shiny, AI) and new equipment.
Your tasks
- Working with process engineers, integration engineers and the yield and electrical characterization teams, your role is to implement and optimize the defect monitoring system on our customers' products:
- Control sampling, defect catalog, control efficiency
- Detect equipment and manufacturing process deviations with the best possible reactivity.
- Analyze non-conforming products
- Identify performance detractors and define appropriate action plans.
- Support qualification of process changes and new technologies
- Prepare and periodically present, both internally and to customers, appropriate technical summaries.
Your profile
- Fluent English
- Autonomous, rigorous, curious
- Able to handle several problems in parallel
- Knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvement tools (8D, DMAIC, AMDEC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Knowledge of R and Shiny programming appreciated.
- Engineering degree (Bac+5) with professional experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Knowledge of Process Integration and product contamination control methods in microelectronics would be a plus.
