Innovation Project Engineer (f/m/x)

Job purpose
Reporting directly to the Head of Group Innovation, secure financing for strategic innovation projects.
Your responsibilities
Interacting with numerous internal departments (R&D, Finance, Legal, IP, Marketing), public funding institutions and industrial partners or research institutes, the position's mission is to :
- Boost X-FAB's innovation strategy through substantial institutional financial support, in particular for CMOS and RF components.
- Put together the supporting files presented to funding bodies (national and European such as IPCEI, BPI France, H2020...): write scientific summaries backed up by scientific and financial justifications, guarantee the quality of the files, organize the contributions of each partner.
- Manage strategic funded projects
Contribute to or propose ambitious programs:
- creation and management of a consortium of industrial and research partners, extension to new partners....
- lead the drafting of proposals: market, innovation, budget, etc.
- instruction and negotiation of contracts with institutions and partners
- Ensure that planned state aid payments are made with the finance department; to this end, manage the project portfolio and ensure that teams meet their commitments in terms of technical, business, financial and impact objectives, organize consortium reviews, etc.
- CIR: ensure that this important subsidy for the company is maintained, lead the steering committee (CFO, CTO, etc.) and the team of contributors, supervise the subcontractor (define his program, choose him, etc.); ensure that KPIs are maintained, etc.
- Interface with public institutions (local, regional, national, European) and industrial or academic partners: contribute to the promotion and enhancement of the company,
- Influence: participate in French or European committees as an expert representing the company, contribute to the establishment of roadmaps,
- Reporting to the Innovation Manager, the site CFO and the CIR steering committee.
Your profile
- Solid technical knowledge, diplomacy and persuasiveness, interpersonal skills, negotiating skills, ability to federate around a cross-functional project, anticipate and plan.
- Engineering degree, ideally followed by a thesis, with a strong taste for innovation and a business vision
- 3 years' scientific and technical experience in the field of microelectronics
- Initial experience of financed project management
- Project management skills
- English essential.
