Engineer - Design Support (Design Basics)

At X-FAB Sarawak, Design Support Team is looking for a Design Support Engineer (Design Basics) for the development of Design Kits and Runsets and to be in involved in Design Support improvement projects (Design Tools, Automation, Standardization).

Your Role:

• Implementation of X-FAB processes within Design Kits/Runsets for different design environments according to internal development specification.
• Software development to support the design as well as the creation of Design Kits, Runsets and design IP.
• Further development of design methods and development processes, including automation and optimization.
• Analyze and develop proposals for solutions to technical problems.
• Perform individual/organizational development plan.
• Archiving data in the version control system.
• Contribute towards projects that will improve the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or similar fields with knowledge of VLSI IC design & application and Semiconductor and/or automotive industry.
• Preferably with 3 years of working experiences in IC design, wafer foundry or related area.

    • Knowledge in common computer programming languages (e.g. C, Python, Javascript, Rust).
    • Basic knowledge of industrial requirements in EDA tools, IP, library in the commercial market.
    • Basic knowledge of ASIC design flow, design validation, verification flow and CMOS semiconductor process.
