Job purpose 
To design, develop and put into production semiconductor processes and components using X-FAB group technologies.

Description of significant activities


Within the framework of development project plans, defined and approved by X-FAB Group Management: 
- Implementing and validating, in collaboration with the Process Engineers, the specifications for implementing processes in production.
- In cooperation with the Level 2 Process Development Engineer, define the process architecture (modules) and the electrical, physical, photo-mask and design data specifications.
- Implement the simulation (Technology Computer Aided Design) and testing phases of the processes developed.
- Carrying out analyses and studies on the processes developed, in order to guarantee their integration without impacting the rest of the technology (cross process talk).
- Contributing to the delivery of prototypes of these modular developments to internal or external customers for validation, as defined in the project plan.
- Defining and drawing up the documentation associated with the developments, subject to validation by the Level 2 Process Development Engineer, and ensuring that the documentation complies with the project milestones and procedure GP4-1.

- Ensuring knowledge transfer so that the technology is supported by the Operations (Processes, Production) and Performance organisations. In particular, helping to train employees in the technologies developed.
- Keeping a constant watch on technology and business procedures, and promoting new techniques to colleagues.

Professional knowledge :
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor physics.
- In-depth skills in Synopsis or Silvaco tools.
- In-depth knowledge of statistical data analysis tools (JUMP, R).
- General knowledge of problem-solving methods (5W, 8D, Ishikawa, etc.)..
