Process Development engineer (M/F/D)

Corbeil-Essonnes, France

Purpose of the Role
Design, develop, and bring to production semiconductor manufacturing processes and components for X-FAB group technologies.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Process Implementation and Validation:

    • Collaborate with Process Engineers to implement and validate process specifications for production.

  2. Communication and Reporting:

    • Provide regular updates to management, Project/Program Managers, and/or clients on the technical progress of projects.

  3. Process Definition and Architecture:

    • Lead the definition of process architecture (modules) and specifications for electrical, physical, photomasks, and design data.

  4. Simulation and Testing:

    • Manage and execute simulation phases (Technology Computer Aided Design) and testing of developed processes.

  5. Process Analysis and Integration:

    • Coordinate analyses and studies of developed processes to ensure integration without negative impacts on existing technologies (cross-process talk).

  6. Prototyping and Delivery:

    • Ensure the delivery of modular prototypes to internal or external clients for validation, as outlined in the project plan.

  7. Technical Documentation:

    • Define, manage, and prepare documentation for developments, ensuring compliance with project milestones and procedure GP4-1.

  8. Knowledge Transfer:

    • Transfer knowledge to Operations teams (Process, Production) and Yield organizations to support new technologies.

    • Train colleagues on developed technologies and onboard new Process Development Engineers.

  9. Technology Monitoring:

    • Continuously monitor technological advancements and industry practices. Promote new techniques among colleagues.

Required Profile

  • Strong expertise in process development and semiconductor technologies.

  • Experience in managing technical projects and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Excellent skills in communication and technical documentation.

  • Ability to lead teams, train colleagues, and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
