Development Process Engineer (M/F/D)

Corbeil-Essonnes, France

Job Purpose

Design, develop, and implement semiconductor processes and components using X-FAB group technologies.

Main Responsibilities

1. Process Design and Production Implementation

  • Implement and validate, in collaboration with Process Engineers, the specifications for process implementation in production.
  • Maintain regular communication with management, Project/Program Managers, and/or clients regarding the technical progress of projects.
  • Lead the definition of process architecture (modules) and specifications for electrical, physical, photomasks, and design data.
  • Lead and execute simulation (Technology Computer Aided Design) and testing phases for developed processes.
  • Coordinate analyses and studies on developed processes, ensuring their integration without impacting the rest of the technology (cross process talk).
  • Ensure the delivery of prototypes of developed processes for validation by internal or external clients, as defined in the project plan.

2. Documentation and Project Management

  • Define and lead the creation of documentation related to developments, ensuring its compliance with project milestones and the GP4-1 procedure.
  • Ensure continuous updating of technical documents to meet project and internal process requirements.

3. Training and Knowledge Transfer

  • Ensure knowledge transfer so that the developed technology is effectively supported by Operations teams (Processes, Production) and Yield.
  • Train colleagues on the developed technologies and new hires in the Process Development Engineer role.

4. Technological Monitoring

  • Continuously monitor technological advances and industry practices.
  • Promote new techniques and methods among colleagues and encourage their adoption.

Desired Profile

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor processes and technologies.
  • Expertise in simulation (Technology Computer Aided Design) and technical project management.
  • Ability to define and optimize complex processes.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation tools and associated standards.

Behavioral Skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in teams.
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
  • Proactive approach and curiosity about new technologies.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Microelectronics, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
