Job description
Functions / Duties:
Supervises and assists Facilities electrical engineers as they design, develop, and test electrical devices and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Generating electrical schematics, bills of materials, and cost analysis
- Specifying electrical hardware
- Creating new design solutions that meet electrical code
- Participating on process improvement/cost reduction teams
- Testing, Maintaining and Operation of Low to Medium voltage systems ranging from the following.
- 480/277v electrical systems
- 12.47 kv electrical systems
- 2400v electrical systems
- 23kv/12.47kv 10MVA Transformers
- Working with varied groups in investigation and integration of new technologies to aid with the performance of electrical and control systems
- Supervising Equipment and Requested Maintenance and Operations employees. Includes assignments, performance management, corrective action, and daily details such as time and time off management.

- Ability to work with others on a team to accomplish goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Maintain detailed and accurate records and prepare clear and concise written reports.
- Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of electrical equipment, buildings and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with regulations and electrical codes.
- Knowledge of basic control diagrams
- Knowledge of control devices and instrumentation:
- Sensors
- Transducers
- Field Wiring
- Knowledge and experience on the design, programming of PLCs
- Knowledge and experience on the design, programming of VFDs
- Knowledge of Human Machine Interface design Techniques. (SCADA Systems)
- Inductive Automation Ignition program preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 120/208v to 23kv systems.
- Knowledge of Arc fault system analysis of electrical systems
Job requirements
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in a related and/or technical field
- Experience with MS Office
- Professional registration - EIT and/or PE.
