Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

Legal Counsel (m/f/d), based in Tessenderlo, Belgium

From the company’s head office in Tessenderlo, you will support all entities of the X-FAB Group with expert legal advice on a broad range of international legal matters. You will be reporting to the General Counsel.

Your tasks: 

  • Negotiate, draft, analyze, and review various international commercial agreements (sales, procurement, IP, service, etc.)
  • Assess and advise on liabilities, legal restrictions and risks of proposed commercial transactions and develop practical solutions to meet commercial needs
  • Monitor and advise on current and new legislation and case law
  • Enhance and create awareness for internal policies and procedures (update and roll out policies, create templates and provide trainings)
  • Management of and coordination with external advisors
  • Advise on a wide variety of legal matters, such as finance, export control, sanctions and HR

Your profile:

  • Master of Law
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in commercial law, ideally as an in-house counsel in an international context
  • Affinity for innovation, technology, and the automotive industry
  • Ability to analyze and confidently advise on complex legal matters & to communicate clearly and effectively to the business
  • Ability to strike the right balance between the legal theory and the business reality
  • Eager to expand your legal knowledge to new areas of expertise and jurisdictions, e.g. export control
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and in writing). Knowledge of French is considered a plus
