Engineers & Technicians

Our engineers work on innovative technologies. To do this, they need the will to constantly develop, the openness to incorporate new perspectives and the focus on the needs of our customers. Our development, production and quality teams are always looking for qualified candidates in a variety of engineering fields (electrical, chemical, material science, information systems, etc.), physicists or chemists.

"The energy we put in today is the growth we see tomorrow."

Danielle, Photo Processing Engineering Technician, X-FAB Texas

Danielle is a process engineering technician at X-FAB Texas. In this position she works closely with colleagues from manufacturing and process development, setting up and running engineering tests and analyzing process data. When new products are phased into the production line, Danielle will generate the correct equipment recipes for these and maintain existing ones, thus ensuring a consistently high quality of the products we deliver to our customers.

With more than 15 years of experience as a technician, she has accumulated a lot of knowledge that she enjoys sharing with new colleagues, training them and providing them with the tools and skills for a successful start into their new job. It is the variety of tasks that makes her job so interesting and satisfying, or as Danielle puts it: “There is never a dull moment.”

She also brings in her knowledge when new equipment needs to be set up in the cleanroom and is proud to be at the forefront of innovation with X-FAB Texas being the first foundry to offer wide-bandgap technologies, specifically silicon carbide on 6-inch wafers.

Danielle describes herself as a self-starter, who is adaptable and curious – always willing to learn and grow with the tasks at hand. At home, she also has her hands full, literally, with five dogs to take care of.

Nevertheless, she still finds time and leisure to learn something new in her spare time. Currently, Danielle is learning sign language to assist children with special needs in the sports group that she is volunteering with.

My contributions matter. That's what is driving me.

As process engineer, Danielle works closely with colleagues from manufacturing and process development, setting up and running engineering tests and analyzing process data.

What do you like best about your job?

There is constant change, and I like variety. I enjoy learning about the new technologies at X-FAB and being part of the wide-bandgap growth in the semiconductor industry.
