X-FAB DRESDEN AT A GLANCE
In 2007, X-FAB Dresden became part of the X-FAB group. The site has a long history in the development and manufacturing of microelectronics. Today, it is an important manufacturing site for our 350-nanometer technologies and home to a team of experts from design support, process characterization and reliability.
Our Dresden site is located in the middle of Silicon Saxony. The company was founded in 1961 near the airport by Professor Werner Hartmann as the former "Arbeitsstelle für Molekularelektronik". After the company was privatized in 1999, it was integrated into the X-FAB Group in 2007. The company currently has approx. 460 employees.
The focus is on the production of 8-inch wafers in the CMOS area as well as 8-inch wafers in MEMS technologies. Currently, the following functions are located at the site: Finance & controlling, human resources (HR), information technology (IT), operations including engineering & production, procurement, quality, supply chain, technology.

Work-life balance
We support you with up to two days 100% pay continuation when your child is sick. For all of you, who start in our shift work, we offer a fix year plan: you always work two day shifts, two night shifts and then have four days off. Many of our colleagues enjoy this regularity for their private life.

About Dresden
