We are looking for an experienced Database Architect (M/F/X) to join the IT team at X-FAB France.
With your in-depth knowledge of database management systems, you will design, implement, and optimize critical data architectures for the company. You will be responsible for the performance, security, and availability of databases, while supporting business projects and the company’s digital transformation.
Your responsibilities :
- Work closely with IT teams, developers, data scientists, and business representatives
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business needs
- Conduct technology watch and define data infrastructure evolution roadmaps
- Select appropriate database technologies (relational, NoSQL, cloud, etc.)
- Install, configure, and maintain databases
- Apply security, backup, recovery, and archiving policies
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and scalability of data systems
- Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and propose optimizations
Your profile:
- Graduate from an engineering school or equivalent Bac+5 degree with a specialization in IT or data engineering
- Proven experience as a DBA, database architect, or data infrastructure expert
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, SQL languages, and automation scripts (Python, PowerShell…)

- Good understanding of business, security, performance, and service continuity issues
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure visibility of your actions and projects
Technological environment :
- Databases: MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, Lucene
- Operating systems: Unix (CentOS, Ubuntu, AIX), Windows Server
- Monitoring and backup tools
- Languages: SQL, Python, PowerShell, ETL tools (Talend)
- Documentation: Office365, Jira, Confluence
