Microsystems Development Engineer (m/f/d)

As a development engineer in the Microsystems Business Unit, you will plan and lead development projects based on X-FAB’s processes and guidelines. The goal is to bring these projects to a successful conclusion in collaboration with other X-FAB departments and hand them over to the production organization. As part of your project work, you will collaborate with the PE team to develop new process steps or inline and PCM test structures in cooperation with the relevant X-FAB teams (e.g., Process Characterization). Your daily tasks will include internal and external customer communication as well as documenting tests and results in accordance with X-FAB guidelines.

Your role:

Development of microsystem technologies and associated wafer-level fabrication steps
Planning and management of development projects based on X-FAB procedures and guidelines
Development of new process steps in collaboration with the PE team
Development of inline and PCM test structures in collaboration with the relevant X-FAB teams (e.g., process characterization)
Collaboration with all X-FAB departments with the goal of successfully completing development projects and handing them over to operations
Collaboration with external customers and partners
Documentation of tests and results in accordance with X-FAB rules

Your profile:

Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in physics, electrical engineering, microsystems, semiconductor technology, or a related field
You should be open-minded and curious about implementing new ideas and possess strong problem-solving skills.
You have strong communication skills and enjoy daily teamwork in a multicultural work environment
Good English skills (spoken and written)
